♡ Soap&Glory Review ♡

♡ Hello Everyone! ♡

I hope you're all doing well. Today's post will be a review on the incredible Soap & Glory products I have recently purchased. My family took a little five-day trip over to Bangkok in my term holidays, and I used this as an excuse to buy a couple new products. I was thrilled to see that not only did Bangkok have a Boots, but also that they stocked Soap&Glory, a line I have not been able to easily find in Australia.
My Bangkok haul is currently under the process of being edited, as it is in video form, but I promise you that it's not too far off.
Lets dive on into this review.

Starting off with my favourite product of the two. By this, I do not mean that the other product isn't as good as this one. I'm an absolute sucker of body butters, so naturally I would prefer this.

This is the incredible Butter YOURSELF body cream.
If you want smoother, fresher softer skin, look no further. This is a huge thing for me to say, but I honestly prefer this over all the Body Shop body butters (That being said, I don't think I'll still believe this come christmas).
It's formula is a dream, thick and very creamy. After application, your legs are immediately left feeling a thousand times softer, and a lot more hydrated. That being said, I wouldn't recommend for those out there who aren't a fan of feeling greasy to use this during the day time. It's not all that too greasy, but with its thick consistency, it may just feel a little awkward, and transfer onto clothing.

The scent is incredible. I wasn't too surprised by this either, as one of the main positive things I have heard from the whole Soap&Glory line is their fragrance, and this body butter is no exception to this.
Look no further than the packaging to get an idea of what to expect pre-whiff. "orange water juice, shea butter, peppermint oil & fruitliquid fig".

There is definetly a citrus element to its aroma, and the shea butter ensures the citrus scent isn't over-powering. The sweetness of the fig is a nice addition too. I can't say I can smell peppermint, but oddly enough, another strong scent I get is coconut.
To sum it all up, it smells quite like a summer holiday or a fruity, summery drink.

As for the AHAs, your skin is always left notably smoother, even after the cream has worn off. For those who don't know what AHAs are, they're a form of exfoliant. What you get in your regular facial scrubs are manual exfoliants, whereas AHAs are of the chemical kind. I know of people are don't like these, as they believe its harmful to their skin but I can assure you, I've had no problems with this product.

As you can see above on the left, its consistency is a little thick, as I mentioned before.

All in all, I don't regret purchasing this, and am willing to repurchase it when I eventually get through this (which won't be any time soon, 300mls of this goodness is a plentiful amount).

Now time for the infamous "Clean On Me". Other than the Hand Food, when I hear Soap&Glory, this is the first product to come to mind. So its no surprise that when I saw S&G in stores, that I knew immediately I was going to be bringing one of these babies home.

I originally heard about this wash from Ingrid (Missglamorazzi). Ever since she raved about this product, I've been meaning to get one myself. Anything she likes, I generally do too.

It's scent is along the same line as Butter Yourself, a mix of sweet and sour.
Mandarin peel is beneficial for the skin in many ways. It's an antioxidant, helps give the skin a nice glow, and can even out skin tones. With that being said, this shower gel is not based off of this, but the mandarin gives the gel a lovely scent.

As it is a clarifying shower gel, I like to use this two to three times a week. I find it is very effective at cleaning all the gunk from your skin.

The formula is nice. It isn't sticky, nor is it watery. It's a nice balance of "gloopyness" yet is still pleasantly thin. It lathers up nicely, but the pump doesn't give a lot at a time, so I find myself using up to seven pumps in one wash.

I've been very impressed with both these products, and highly reccomend them. What is your opinion on them? Have you tried any other products from S&G? If so, what were they and what's your opinion on them?

Until next time, lots of love,
