Garnier Fructis : Normal & Oily Roots Dry Ends // BATTLE OF THE WASHES #2

Hi hi wonderful person! I hope you're well,

Today's second instalment of the Battle of the Washes stars two Garnier Fructis products. The first being the Fortifying shampoo for normal hair, and the second being the fortifying shampoo for oily roots and dry ends.

Designed to strengthen, nourish, smoothen and add some shine to the  hair with active fruit concentrate, the fortifying line by Garnier Fructis should great for those needing a little something extra in their hair care routine to restore hair from the many factors we put it through.

I must say, I didn't see a huge difference in the health of my hair after using this shampoo, however it is pretty great in terms of properly cleansing and ridding the scalp of oil build up. This might be the result of the fruit AHAs (a chemical exfoliant) within the product. This shampoo is packed with Vitamins B3 and B6, designed to "energise hair from the root". The strength of my hair seemed to improve slightly, particularly in the roots.

Garnier Fructis never fails in the scent department for me. This shampoo contains grapefruit essence which proves to be a lovely, light and fresh scent that lingers a little.

All in all, this shampoo is great for clarifying the hair, and okay in the strengthening department. A good shampoo to use on a weekly basis to go back to basics before a long week.

As I've mentioned in many posts before hand, I struggle with oily roots and dry ends which can prove to be rather annoying when hair wash shopping. I tend to go for rich, creamy formulas designed to add moisture back into my dry ends, but end up making my roots feel a little greasy.

This conditioner is designed to purify and control the oils of  your scalp, all whilst nourishing dry ends with an active fruit concentrate,  vitamins B3 and B6 along with fruit AHAs.

I've found this conditioner to be perfect for detangling, however it isn't over hydrating for the ends of my hair. I would recommend this conditioner to those struggling with oiler hair who are in need for a good daily wash, as it is targeted to those within this category as apposed to those with drier hair.
